DIY Grapefruit Sugar Scrub

Photograph for a beauty DIY

Winter is fast approaching, and we may have already noticed our skin beginning to dry out.  And with that comes flaking and peeling.  Enter a DIY exfoliating scrub!

You can simply use water, but I tried using fresh grapefruit juice as it smells nice and was on hand, though the scrub doesn’t smell as fruity as expected.

Mix up in a small jar, or whip up even smaller batches as needed.

Only two ingredients, so you don’t really need a recipe.  Just add some granulated sugar to water/fruit juice so you have a goopy consistency.  If you make enough to store, stir it up before using!  Wet your face and body, slather some on, message around, and let the sugar granules exfoliate away!  Wipe/rinse off with warm water.  It’s a bit sticky, so you’ll notice if you need to rinse some more.

Pat dry and rub in some coconut or jojoba oil to help moisturize.

Perhaps this winter won’t be so dry, after all..

Much Peace and Keep Roamin’
