Purple Pass

We have to make time for what matters to us.

The things that feed our soul can’t be left to chance.  We have to schedule time, carve it out in our day to day lives, and make it happen.

How do you make time for what you love?

Shot while stopped along Eleven Mile Reservoir recently!

Definitely hoping to get a hatchback soon for some good old car-camping!

A little self love can go a long way in dealing with life’s ups and downs.  So what matters to you?  What would you like to spend more time doing?  What activities bring you back to yourself?

Be it spirituality, creativity, nature, time with family, or anything else, let’s spend more time enjoying the things that make us feel whole.

Forest Trail

When nature is a great love, make a point to get out and enjoy it!

Take the time to get out on hikes, explore trails, climb mountains, breathe fresh air, really enjoy it!

Even if we don’t have time to make it to the mountains every week, let’s commit to getting outside and enjoying whatever nature we can.

Golden Waves | Moody Sunset

This gorgeous, moody sunset was photographed in Garden of the Gods one chilly sunset!

The clouds were rolling over Pikes Peak, which is always a gorgeous and camera-worthy view!

A good reminder to take our telephoto lenses with us, as when we zoom in, it can look like a completely different view.

Ever feel like you’ve shot the same location hundreds of times?  Bring a longer lens and get a new view!

What’s your favorite view to shoot?

Journey of Heroes | Mountain Pass

Life is often far from fantasy, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take every opportunity to be our own hero.

We must take the initiative to live the life we want to live, to create a present and future that makes us feel alive.

Whether that means long road trips and photographing sunsets, or building a family with those you love, or anything and everything in between…it’s our responsibility to make it happen.

Let’s listen to our souls and head in the direction our hearts are trying to take us.  Let’s be our own heroes.
