The Loft

While poking around Old Colorado City, this beautiful scene of a music venue’s alley door caught my attention.  I love the whimsical lights along the usual alley backdrop, as well as the sign posted on the door!

Let’s remember that there’s so much to admire beyond where we’re used to traveling, so let’s explore!

Cozy Side Street

Urban photography of a cozy side street.

Manitou Springs in Colorado is such a favorite of mine to explore.  The busiest area has streets lined with beautiful shops and eateries, as well as gorgeous old homes.

This cozy side street in particular caught my eye for the lovely colors, textures, and details throughout.  Street photography isn’t something I have much experience with, but it wasn’t as nerve-wracking as expected.

Definitely a town worth visiting and exploring on foot if you’re ever in Colorado.

Alleys definitely have their own unique beauty.  There is so much texture to admire, as well as patterns, especially if there’s brickwork or a fire escape.

Whether we’re walking along the city’s main street or wandering the side roads, let’s keep our eyes open to the unique beauty around us.  There are plenty of views to admire during our travels.

Brick Alley

Brick Alley

This beautiful alley in Center City, Philadelphia always captures my attention, especially around sunset.

I’ve been trying to get better at properly exposing both the foreground and background in my photography, especially when the sky is involved.  This shot is a blend of two exposures to get more blue out of the sky.

Time for more practice.

Whatever we’re up to, let’s keep pushing forward!

Sometimes it feels like too much is happening at once, and we find ourselves falling quite behind.  Let’s remember to give ourselves a break, take a deep breath, and take our time getting back up to speed.

Quiet Back Alley

Alleys always grab my attention, whether they’re hidden in a small town or in a big city, like this one in Center City, Philadelphia.  They have their own quiet, unique beauty.  I’m a sucker for peeling paint, exposed brick, pipes, and fire escapes.

Beauty can be often found in places we overlook, hidden in plain sight.
