Iron Heart

The ironwork heart in this red framed window grate is terribly charming, but I’m a sucker for reds, creams, and textured walls!

This lovely building sits beside a tattoo shop and gallery, and across from the historic church in Old Colorado City.  Old Colorado City is full of really awesome buildings, basically!

Beautiful and charming details abound, so let’s open our eyes to the world around us!

Old Pond House

Exterior photograph of an abandoned pond house.

This beautiful old pond house sits just off a road in Pennsylvania, on a spot of land that used to be a farm.  Now a park surrounded by chainstores, this property is also home to an impressive farmhouse.

Built sunken into the ground, with vines growing up the windowed sides, it has a cozy and almost hidden quality.

It would definitely make a comfy and inspiring art studio.

Red Brick

This home in Center City, Philadelphia always stands out due to its contrasting red bricks and white paint.

Homes have also been gaining my interest lately, as I love their differences and character.  They also send my imagination spinning at the thought of having a space of my own one day.

End Every Day With Gratitude

Sometimes life feels dull.  The days blur together, and it feels like all we do is sleep, eat, and work.

It’s easy to feel dragged down by depression, anxiety, guilt, and dread for tomorrow.  But it’s also easy to lift ourselves up with gratitude.  Life isn’t perfect, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to be grateful for.

Let’s end every day with gratitude and a peaceful smile.

Quiet Back Alley

Alleys always grab my attention, whether they’re hidden in a small town or in a big city, like this one in Center City, Philadelphia.  They have their own quiet, unique beauty.  I’m a sucker for peeling paint, exposed brick, pipes, and fire escapes.

Beauty can be often found in places we overlook, hidden in plain sight.
