It’s been a while, and it’s good to be back in the studio!
When life happens, we need to still make time for the things that are important to us, even when we don’t necessarily have the energy.
Especially when we’re killing ourselves at our 9-5 which has recently turned into a 9-9, sometimes we need to turn down the overtime and instead curl up with a good book, and make time to play with our camera.
How do you ensure to set time aside? How do you get the ball rolling?
It’s easier said than done, but is still a wonderful practice. And this practice is to let yourself burn up with love.
Moments can be brief, longer if we’re lucky, but let’s let ourselves burn with love for ourselves and others. Let’s feel joy in the moment and wish well to ourselves and others, and feel gratitude for what we do have.
Again, easier said than done. But there’s no denying that there’s a special magic that happens when let ourselves glow with love and gratitude.
How do you work to maintain your inner peace?

This mountain belongs to the Collegiate Peaks and was photographed near sunset during a spontaneous road trip.
While working to meet our goals and live the best life we can, we come across new people, places, and things. We can find insecurities stirring up as well.
We fear things will change.
We fear losing the people we love, having to leave the places where we’re comfortable, and losing the things we’ve finally acquired.
Detachment is needed.
It is difficult, especially once fear has already set in. But when we lovingly separate ourselves from what we’re so afraid to lose, when we let it go and trust things will be the way they’re meant to be, it gets easier.
We feel lighter. We feel free.
Like most things, it gets easier with practice. Let’s breathe, keep our eyes on our dreams, but lovingly let go and trust that we will be alright whatever comes.
Let’s keep chasing the sunset, without getting too caught up in the timing. Let’s keep climbing mountains, without insisting we make it to the top. Let’s keep moving forward, without clinging to the ‘perfect’ destination.
