Summer Leaves Like Lace

Thinking positive isn’t always easy.

When I get down, it’s easy to reject positive thinking.  For some reason, when I’m allowing myself to be consumed by anger and sadness, I prefer to wallow in it.  Rejecting negative thoughts and emotions is hard work when you’re drowning in them.

It’s important to latch onto whatever positivity we can, be it hopes for the future, or gratitude for what we have now.

Let’s do our best to remain positive, and not spend too much time wallowing in the negative.

Pattern in Nature

Let’s take time to breathe fresh air, feel the sun on our shoulders, and see the beauty and patterns in nature all around us.

Let’s also take time to give to others, and to bury ourselves in whatever craft tugs at our hearts.

My photography brings me joy, and reminds me of the limitless beauty in the world.  Hopefully, it does the same for you.

Happiness is What’s Important

Focus on Happiness

Happiness makes life worth living.

Growing up, I wasn’t taught about happiness.  I don’t remember it even being brought up.

What was important was money, security, education.  And not independent study done online and in libraries.  The only education worth pursuing was expensive, required loans, and resulted in a respected degree.

Go to college.  Get a degree in a high-demand field.  Get a high-paying career.  Own a home, a car.  Happiness will come later, right?

Growing up, I wish I was taught  about happiness.  I wish I was told to build happiness, not a career.

What’s important is happiness.  It’s what makes life worth living.  Happiness is not an end result, and money, career, and status aren’t means to getting it.

Let’s teach others, and ourselves, to pursue happiness.

Much Peace and Keep Roamin’

White Blooms

Tree of Light

This is my first attempt at HDR photography by merging three different exposures.  There’s definitely room for improvement, though I’m happy with the result.

Experience is the best teacher, so let’s get out there, make mistakes, learn, and grow.

Beaded Raindrops

Photographs of raindrops are a joy to look at and even more fun to shoot.  Cloudy and rainy days can be great for photography, provided we don’t get our cameras wet!

Let’s get out and enjoy the beauty of nature, rain or shine.
