Change | Fall Raindrops

Raindrops

And so we’ve come to the end of another month, and soon, another year.  It’s important to remember that the small moments of every day are what make up our lives.

Each moment spent loving, creating, sharing, and working towards a goal will blend with another to create the greater sum of our life.

Let’s dedicate more moments to love, craft, gratitude, progress, and improvement.  Let’s keep moving forward, one small step at a time.

Dewdrops and raindrops are so beautiful and wonderful to photograph.  Yet another reason to head outside on those less sunny mornings, with or without a camera.

With more rain these days and snow coming soon, it’s probably time to repair or replace those shoes of ours that have developed holes, rips, and cracks from all our adventures.

Shot on a beautifully foggy morning hike.

The soft and almost pearlescent colors, as well as the lens blur, make for a dreamlike quality.

Overcast days are definitely wonderful for hikes and photography~

An overcast day is perfect to for a hike close to home.  Not only was the light diffused and temperatures cool, but the recent rain and persistent fog brought out the colors of nature beautifully and beaded plants with dew.

Due to the weather not being as sunny as usual, the trails were quiet except for a few visitors.  Fresh air, solitude, silence, and cool temperatures?  A wonderful way to start the day!

This immensely tranquil stream passes through the trail, though a small side path takes you along it for more serene and photogenic views.  The sound of running water is so relaxing, especially when you don’t accidentally startle any predatory wildlife.  (Although I did have the pleasure of seeing a gorgeous bobcat on the hunt last week.)

Let’s enjoy nature, rain or shine, and not be afraid to wonder off the beaten path once in a while.  (So long as we can find our way back.)

Much Peace and Keep Roamin’

Perfection in the Everyday

Vivid Green Columbine

It can be easy to forget how perfect and beautiful the everyday is.  Immense beauty isn’t only found in a sunny beach town, distant city, or exotic locale.

It’s easily found right at our feet, wherever we are.  Whether we’re standing on wild grass, fine gravel, asphalt, or a dirt road, we can find beauty and perfection nearby.  We just have to look.

In a few days we’ll be headed off to our new adventure, so starting today, posts will be once a week on Thursdays until we get set up at our new home.  The regular posting schedule will return hopefully by August.  I can’t wait to show you the different landscape of our new home!

With things flying by, it’s easy to feel like we have no control.  And even with things changing, we can feel tightly trapped.

Let’s breathe, remember that everything will work out, and that obstacles are just steps in the journey.

The Little Things Beauty is Everywhere

Magnolia

Magnolia Flowers with Raindrops

Flowering Magnolia Tree

This magnolia tree has been practically glowing with these pink and white flowers.  They’re definitely a beautiful subject to photograph.

Growing up surrounded mostly by evergreens, being able to enjoy these gorgeous pink trees is something I never expected.

There is so much beauty in nature, especially beyond what we’re used to seeing.  Whether we’re traveling across town, the country, or visiting a public garden, let’s enjoy the various sights.

Much Peace and Keep Roamin’
