Positive

Warm Green

Let’s reflect on our positive realities instead of our negative ones.  Let’s spend less time focusing on what the world hasn’t given us, and more on what we can give the world.

Happiness is work, but once we get started, it gets easier.

Remember the Positive

Remember the Positive

It can be easy to let ourselves be consumed by negative thoughts when we’re angry or frustrated, be it with work or our family.  Let’s remember the positive.

When we find ourselves spiraling in negativity, let’s reflect on the positive aspects we’re grateful for.  Maybe we don’t work at our ideal job, but we have wonderful coworkers and are good at what we do.  Maybe we find ourselves frustrated with a family member’s point of view, but they’re kind-hearted and we have fun together.

Let’s think positive, and remember all the things we’re grateful for.

Hope

Vivid Green Leaf

Having hope for the future is incredibly important.

Happiness can definitely take work, and I feel that having a positive outlook, hope, and dreams for the future are necessary.

With no hope for the future, we feel stuck, stranded, trapped.  We feel like nothing will ever change, that happiness will always be out of reach, and that nothing has purpose.

Hope is so important.  When we feel down and trapped, let’s remember that we can be anything.  We can go anywhere.

Let’s remember to dream and hope for the future, and all the happiness and positivity to come.

Thinking positive isn’t always easy.

When I get down, it’s easy to reject positive thinking.  For some reason, when I’m allowing myself to be consumed by anger and sadness, I prefer to wallow in it.  Rejecting negative thoughts and emotions is hard work when you’re drowning in them.

It’s important to latch onto whatever positivity we can, be it hopes for the future, or gratitude for what we have now.

Let’s do our best to remain positive, and not spend too much time wallowing in the negative.

Support

There are some things that are really hard to tell people.  Things that make your heart pound, that make you pace, stutter, wring your hands, and say,”Uh….” for quite some time.

Maybe you’re gay, transgender, dropping out of school, or maybe you just really like Star Trek.

This past week, I was once again left feeling astounded and truly blessed by the amazing support I’ve gotten from my family at work.

It reminds me that no matter who you are, there are people that will love and support you.  People that will truly have your back, offer their shoulder, and give you the support and encouragement we all need sometimes.

Sometimes these people are our relatives, sometimes they’re coworkers, bosses, or that nice guy at the library.

There are things that are so hard to tell people.  You ask yourself if this is the last time you’ll talk with this person.  You wonder if this is what’s going to ruin everything.  You’re terrified of how these people will react.

It’s okay to be afraid, but don’t hide your true self just because you’re scared.

There are people out there who will not only understand, but they’ve been waiting for you to share with them.  They’ll have something to tell you, too.

“I support you.”
